Concerning the Apatite, var. staffelite label I guess the date is 12-VII-1886 (or should it be 12-VII-1786?). I can't imagine it being 12-VII-1986... What do you think?

Indeed he has an amazing collection of German minerals. I'm from Germany too and i collect minerals for 20 years, with German minerals among my favourites - but Andreas again and again surprises me with stuff i never heard of before :-)

Thanks, Andreas, for posting these German classics with old labels. It's an easy way to know the treasures of a country, Germany, to which the mineralogy owes so much.

He's really a great "ambassador" of the diversity of Germany's many wonderful minerals, i really enjoy this guy's posts :)
