Lovely specimen, Don. But the locality is Chibougamau, not Chibougaman.

Hello Tracy,
Thank you for catching my typographical error. I checked the label as soon as I opened your message and the label I have is correct but I typed it in incorrectly. The important thing is that Carles made the correction on the website for the permanent record. I have enjoyed looking at your beautiful specimens for some time now.
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Don

This is one of my favorite specimens because of its color and sharp undamaged terminations.

Hello Everyone,
I'm sorry I did not introduce myself before I started posting but I did not realize that it was customary until I read Peter's post.
I want to post a Scorodite Suite today.

Hi !
Both zincite photos are almost identical.
Are you sure such crystals are really natural? I've been carefully browsing zincite Mindat pages and have not been able to find anything like that. So I guess yours must be either a fake or an extraordinary find. What do you think?

Hello Carles,
I believe that these crystals are synthetic zinc oxide. My understanding is that this is recovered as a by-product of zinc smelting.
Thanks.
Don

Carles, I believe that the second photo is a little closer and with different lighting.

Either this condition should be clearly notified along with the photos or the entire post deleted. I can do it for you. What do you prefer?
