Hi Ru,
Ive seen tiny Apatites with pinacoidal terminations but only to a few mm Ive got one somewhere, Ill try and find it and see if I can get a reasonable photo.

Thanks nurbo. Here's a little Carrock apatite. Careful preparation should reveal a few more.

Don't have too much from Caldbeck Fells myself, but here's one from the famous (or infamous, depending on your perspective) trench dug by Richard Barstow in 1978.

Lovely one, Jesse. I like the variety of pyromorphite crystal forms in the area, from sharp stubby hexagonal prisms to elongate needle-like forms.

Actually, Joan found that one at Tucson a few years back. Originally from W. Davidson, a collector/dealer from Penrith, Cumbria who sold much of his collection to Scott Williams/inerals Unlimited in the US. That's likely how it turned up there.

By the way, James, lovely to see those Sedgwick specimens - having spent three years (well, only during the days) in the turret above the museum.

Ru
It is such a pity that so little of the Sedgwick collection is on display - when I was a school boy I got to see far more of it than I can today
So I have basically added all the British material they have on display to these threads.
Love the 'blue' from Cumbria
James
