I see that some Carrolite specimens have a clean, shiny, silvery colour and all mine is dull. Is there a way to clean them. The specimens are not on matrix.

HI PIERRE, I see that while your specimen is small, it looks stout. What I might do is soak it in soapy water for a day or two. After a rinse, I would then use a hi pressure cleaning gun, carefully starting on the lowest setting. Wear gloves as the specimen is small and gradually bring up the stream a bit. You also might consider a 15 -30 second vinegar soaking and rinse before your hi pressure cleaning, but I have never used the weak acid on carrolite so use it with care. I think that procedure will clean and brighten up your example so you will be pleased with the final result. BOB

Thank you Bob, I will try it out and let you know the result. Best regards.
