The small Land at the border to France is not known for famous mineral occurrences but features some interesting and less well known localities for collectors.

Specimens from Saarland are not very frequent, even in German collections - except agates and some micromount material. However, there are excellent sphalerites, pyrites and millerites known from the Saar coal mines. As an example the following millerite

Oh, there are excellent specimens from the old coal mines. However, it´s so hard to find some...
