Thanks Tobi. I can pronounce it phonetically, but I'll bet it has a Gaelic pronunciation that I wouldn't even recognize!

An classic chalcocite from one of New England's most important localities. The Bristol Copper Mine operated from 1837 to 1953 and during the mid to late 1800s, produced some of the the finest chalcocites in the United States.

Though my collection focus has been mostly southern Illinois, Romania, Bulgaria, Dal'negorsk, and more recently the Huanggang mines, I still have a soft spot for New England minerals since that is where this crazy obsession all started.
