This boulder is in my yard. I have walked by it for months before I noticed the crystals on it. I wonder if there are more inside you can't see. The big rock appears to be limestone and sandstone in layers. I'm no geologist so I don't really know what it is.

They look like quartz crystals someone has already vandalised and ruined trying to collect. Suggesting this is somewhere permission to collect is denied. Spend your effort taking a better photo while there’s something there for all to enjoy and buy yourself some crystals and dont resort to vandalism.

I own this rock. It's a giant one ton boulder with several outcrops of crystals of different sizes. I wish I could get this boulder for more to enjoy it but I live in a rural area in the Appalachian mountains and my plan is to make a gold fish pond around it and get y'all some better pictures of them, and to me a little bitty barely visible quartz crystal I find is way better than the biggest prettiest you buy. Just something about finding it yourself. I just wish I had more stuff to collect in my area. I'm going to sift the dirt from around it when I dig my pond and maybe I'll find something nice.

What I see on my monitor looks like white branching hollow tubes like fossil related. Bryozoan family.
