Well, what a year 2020 has been - Field trips cancelled, meetings cancelled, mineral shows cancelled and very limited opportunity for personal contact.
It has been the 'Year of Zoom' and I am sure that everyone on FMF will join me in thanking the Blue Cap Productions Team - Bryan Swoboda, Dr Raquel Alonso-Perez of The Mineralogical and Geological Museum at Harvard University (MGMH), Dr. Eloïse Gaillou of l’École des Mines de Paris, and The Society of Mineral Museum Professionals (SMMP) for their fantastic effort to provide a weekly show every Wednesday - it has been an inspiration to many and certainly has served to bring the mineral world together at this extraordinary time. Thank you!

It won't be a "normal" Christmas at all! Here in Lombardy it's even forbidden to move from a municipality to another one! For instance, my mother and myself live in two different municipalities and we can't meet on Christmas! Of course we all have to be very very careful in this bloody situation, in Italy there were 993 deaths and today 825, not so few!

Wishing all you fellow FMF'ers the best of the holiday season and I know we are all looking forward to a better 2021.
Here's a photo of a copper Christmas tree decorated with come cuprite decorations!! Not a great concept but the best I can do right now.

Hi to everybody!
All my best wishes to all of you and your families! I hope too that 2021 is a better year than this bloody 2020 and I hope I can see you all again at the mineral expositions!
Yesterday we overtook the amount of 70,000 deaths by Covid. In these days it's strictly forbidden to go out of our home, until holidays are over (Jan. 6th). Greetings from the most affected European country according to the number of deaths (and 5th in the world).
