A wonderful Rhodo combo from Wutong! I have seen a lot from there (even the "Empress of China"), but yours has a perfect size for a collection and is really outstanding. I love it!
Volkmar.

Wonderful overgrowth. It appears to me that calcite is mainly involved rather than quartz.

Sorry I missed the first photo and the quartz. OK the light effect along with the shape to the upper right had me seeing calcite. Thanks for the correction.

A great quartz crystal, Don! Always amazing to see what comes out of the mines of Huanggang.

A very cool crystal. I have only seen slices before of this type of material.

Thank you for your comments Tobi and Mike. I had not seen a complete crystal before this one; just polished slices and cabochons.
Take care,
Don

Epimorphic growth of Pyromorphite on Fluorite
Pyromorphite coating Fluorite, Baryte | Very nice combination of three great minerals from a famous locality! And the size and the colour contrast - wow! Really an impressive European classic!
(But, though I'm not an expert on French minerals: I think I have seen these combination specimens rather from Chaillac, one of the other classic and famous French localities. But maybe similar ones also came from Les Farges, I'm not sure, maybe someone with more knowledge of French minerals can help here ...?)
Regards
Tobi
