Thank you, Dr. Medici. I'm glad you are enjoying my report. It was a pleasure to meet you and your son in Tucson. I am happy to have some of the pieces you collected from the Duff Quarry.

Hello John,

I have been looking forward to meeting you since watching your interviews on WHIT regarding working your claims in Idaho, the segment on your meteorites and the DVD working with Adam collecting the crocoites. It was my pleasure to finally meet you.

Thank you for your comments.

Warm regards,

Don

PostPosted: Feb 27, 2014 23:34    Post subject: Re: My 2014 Tucson Experience

On February 11, 2014 Gail Copus Spann, Renowned Collector of Fine Minerals, spoke on "The Continuing Perspectives of A Woman Collector" at the Riverpark Inn Lecture Series.

Her talk was followed by a 20th Anniversary celebration in honor of Michael Leybov and Ludmila Cheshko of the Mineralogical Almanac. A reception followed with the traditional bread and salt greeting and vodka. I had the alcohol-free vodka.

Bob Jones spoke extemporaneously about one of his trips to visit Michael in Russia. It was one of the funniest stories I have ever heard. I think it had to be true because you just can't make up a story like the one he told.

I think one can almost guess where people live by the way they dress. eg Mr. Corbell lives in Arizona and Southern California and he dressed in several layers and wore a hat. I am from the Mid-South, therefore I only wore two layers. Mr. John White from Pennsylvania was wearing shorts !
