Unlike the previous two pictures, this one comes from Bucium Romania. Note that the pyrite cubes have many striations.
Although pyrite itself is common for Romanian mines, large cubic pyrite are rare, to be found in just a couple of locations mentioned here.
This piece is a miniature in my collection.

Yes, if you drop it from a fifth floor it will probably get some damage.

Hi David,

Of course there are other localities with good examples of pirytes as you have showed us with nice and good examples from Romania. I think that pyrites from Navajun are famous due its size, mirror-like crystals perfection, and especially for the aggregation sculptures of more than two crystals as the stunning example that Carles has published.

Also, the large number of pyrites from the quarry, and near pyrite localities like Ambasaguas, Valdeperillo, etc with a great variety of pyrite crystallization have made La Rioja famous around the world.
