To me, a very special and unique quartz specimen, self collected a few years ago from a quarry in the Tankwa karoo, Western Cape.

'Domed' quartz with hematite? inclusions on shale.This is a rarity from this area.

I am not quite sure whether the pink mineral is dolomite or also calcite, There are some cream coloured calcite crystals on the pink.

Erongo 'Star of David'. This quartz specimen was just another ordinary specimen, that is until Riana noticed a small star embedded in the surface of the quartz specimen.
