We have this thread and the Missouri portion of the "Mineralogical Trip Thru the States of the USA" thread. Similar photos in both threads seems to be unnecessary duplication of Missouri mining districts. Should the threads be kept separate or, perhaps, should they be merged for simplicity? BOB |

Probably collected 100 years ago. This piece came out of George Feist's collection. He lived on Long Island, New York and collected Midwest minerals over 50 years or so. He passed away in 2007.
Very little online about this mine other than it started in 1899 and was capped as part of the superfund for dangerous mines.
