Hi Ed,
looks perfect, you are painting every small detail. I couldn't do that. Important details I'm painting too, but for the others I use the impressionistic style.
I can't expect to see your work finished. Please don't let us wait too long

Superb painting, Ed! It's nice that you are using clayboard - the details on the specimen are easier to paint, and you don't have the texture of the canvas as a distraction.

Thanks, everyone! Thanks again to Christian Rewitzer for permission to use his photo. I will enjoy continuing this series of photomicrograph paintings as I like how they create almost a landscape-like feel. But first I am shifting my focus to some specimens from Museum and Penny Hall at the University of Delaware. Stay tuned.

I finally completed the first from a series I'm starting from specimens at University of Delaware's Penny Hall display. Like the last two, this is 8"x10" acrylic on masonite.
