I will miss customers, friends and visits to my former spot in the Theater, but as I felt so much in this latest Ste. Marie, the intensity, energy and time necessary to sell, buy, publish chronicles and take care of the large number of promises I have made is just too much for me (and I believe that for anybody ;-) so the decision seems to be the right one.
And now as I imagine that many readers are expecting a summary of "what's new" in Ste. Marie, here is the list of novelties I found and photo of one of the new superb Erythrites from recent finds in Agoudal Centre Quarry, Bou-Azzer area.
It was a great year in terms of finds in Ste. Marie! I saw:
- Terrific Erythrites from a small vein that is already exhausted in the Agoudal Centre Quarry, in Bou-Azzer area. Just two months of works there, but what quality!
- New Cerussites in nice Malachite from Bou Beker. Never found before there, an agreeable surprise.
- Well crystallized Quartz covered by also crystallized Malachite and Azurite in esthetic groups from M'Cissi, Alnif, Sahara, Morocco
- "Electric" blue Azurite from new finds in Milpillas mine, Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. Quality and shape similar to the famous finds in the Czar Mine, Bisbee.
- New finds in La Viesca, La Collada area, with enormous Fluorites forming enormous specimens. Curiously the larger ones were the specimens with the best color...
- Large amount of green octahedral Fluorites from Riemvasmaak, South Africa, with better luster, color, transparency and price than the former ones.
And many other new finds here and there, Ste. Marie was very prolific this year...
That's all folks. I still will publish a last post with some more images and my last video, but my chronicles of 2010 are now finished.
See you in Ste. Marie 2011 but that time it will be as a visitor! ;-)

How might I get an english copy of Luiz Menezes' book?
Don't worry, Luiz is working on it. He will catch a distributor in different countries and he will let it know here, he need just to be back to his home and get a reasonable Internet connection to supply us all details.
Matt:
I missed your question on June 29; where do you live?; my distributor in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be Lapis, and I will send them a parcel of books before the end of July; I will also have he book available at my booth at the next Munich show.

Luiz, could you please give to us a list of distributors of the book in other countries like, for example, USA? several people are waiting it to order the book... _________________ Audaces fortuna iuvat

Matt,
I just ordered a copy from Brazilian Minerals of Sao Paulo (brminerals(at)brminerals(dot)com). They responded immediately to my e-mail and take Paypal. The cost to the US is $128.00. I do not know how big the printing run was, but if small, I'm not going to take a chance on whether the MR will pick it up or not. I still do not believe they have the book on Asturias fluorite, and that came out a year ago.

Hello,
a few words about erythrites from Agoudal. They were produced only 2-3 months, now they are gone. But they were not from Agoudal mine but from Agoudal Centre quarry - small workings along the ore vein. More info about this find and photos of open pit you can find here:

It was nice to meet you all in SMAM! _________________ Tomek
