Bills collection is outstanding, the best of the rarest. The first entry, Andyrobertsite, has the descriptive "Holotype specimen". What does that term mean? Thanks.

It means that this specimen is the one used for the entire description of the species. At times two or more specimens have to be used and they are then cotypes.

In anticipation of Vic's next question, "structure type" means that a crystal from this specimen was used for determining the crystal structure of this species, thus giving this specimen a unique status and greatly elevating its importance to the science, just as is the case with a holotype specimen. Both need, ultimately, to be preserved in major museums such that they can be restudied in the future if any questions should arise with respect to their chemistry, optical properties, physical properties, or structure. New instruments may be invented that will allow determinations not previously possible when the original descriptions were done.
