I picked up this specimen about 1994, at a time I was less interested in precise and/or specific localities. It was marked only Switzerland. It consists of very transparent, smoky quartz. Two crystals frame the open gwindel, and there is a light dusting of chlorite on all the quartz. The matrix is also quartz, and no other minerals seem present. The overall size is about 11 X 11 X 7 cm.
The photos are just slightly blurry--either my camera or my eyes are getting bad.
Anyhow, the question is--is there any way to assign any more specific locality than Switzerland?

Hi,
I agree with Jordi. It could even come from France.
Sorry

Thanks for the help. I thought it was unlikely to determine a more specific locality, but never hurts to ask!
