Hi,

this specimen is offered by a Chinese dealer to me as a "new find rare green garnet from Mongolia". As a newbie, I just like to verify this statement from any experience collector here. Thanks.

I have seen this kind of stuff. It is said to come from Inner Mongolia, the same area of the ilvaites. Dark and green andradites. But, taking into account the troubles with the chinese localities, I cannot bet on it.

Regards
