|

Hello everybody, I just bought a Quartz on Ebay from a pakistani seller. He says this is an Ajoite quartz from the Saindak Cu deposit, Chagai District (Baluchistan), Pakistan. I have never herd before of some find of Ajo quartz in Pakistan or anywhere else than Messina in Africa or Ajo mine, Pima County, Arizona.
I found the colour of the "Ajo phantom" in this quartz quite similar to Chlorite, but I am not sure. This green is not the well known blueish green nor the bright fluo green found in Messina or Ajo mine spécimen. Can you help me with that ?
I send some picture of the quartz I bought + some other specimen these Pakistani guys are selling under the name of Ajoïte.
Thank you very much !

Something more: I wrote to the seller to ask him about that new find, he told me:
The ajoit is newly find in Saidak Cu, Pakistan. A lab attestation certificate can be issued @ $20.00 from PGJDC.
Well... ?

Well, myself, I think that if the certificate of analysis costs only $20.00 then the seller should perhaps pay this and offer a copy of the certificate with each mineral he sells. Particularly if he is selling a rare mineral from a new location.
