I take note of this and i agree: I know such good rubellites from Californian localities, but not from New York. I suppose the specimen was donated or came from an old collection and the museum accepted the locality info without further research.

I've some more photos of specimens from the former USSR. They pictures not as good as most of the others, sorry. The specimens you see were slightly better ;)
