In the "December 2011 News Flash" of Pala Mineralis, they inform about a a theft two nights ago at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.

Quite frankly, there are a lot of thefts that happen within history museums but are not documented properly so as not to shed more light on what others may see as another possibility to break in and get stuff from.

I remember reading an article one time about how this certain group was able to get inside a storage area and were able to unravel a freshly delivered box of fossils that are up for display.
