Thank you, Jose. They remind me of the wulfenites from Sidi Amer in Morocco, but I believe these are a bit more yellow. In any case I have been looking for a wulfenite from this location for about 10 years. My patience was finally rewarded.

Thank you, Jose. I don't know what it is about native copper, but I just love it. More coming in the next few days.

Very nice copper specimen. The mine did produce some really nice specimens. In the new year I will be posting a few photos of some coppers from the Rocklands mine that my partner and I acquired recently. Not easy specimens to photograph so thumbs up on your photo.

Mineral: | Cerussite |
Locality: | Dundas, Zeehan District, West Coast Council, Tasmania, Australia | |

Mineral: | _Two of several labels that accompanied the specimen |
Description: |
These twinned cerussites are most often associated with Tsumeb, and at first glance, that's where I thought this piece was from. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the actual location and the several old labels that accompanied the specimen. Based on the Foote label and some additional research, I believe this specimen dates to around 1890. |
