Hi,
This concludes my report about the 2013 Ste Marie Show.
It was like every time an infinite number of specimens for sale. For next few Masterpieces I photographed, there were miles of tables with smaller minerals but often beautiful.
Thank Jordi for hosting my many shots.
I admire dealers offer such an abundance of minerals. This is an incredible work and a lot of investment. I do not know if the reward is still there.
Goodbye Ste Marie... Au revoir la Belle Alsace!
Roger.

Hi Tobi, and all.
Why not a moon rock (Greg Hupé's collection) seen at the Ste Marie Show ?
Lunar minerals are identical to terrestrial ones. But the proportions vary and the absence of oxygen allows new species.
The name of this rock is Northwest Africa 5000 LUN ACH UNGR
This slice of an igneous rock showing leuco gabbro clasts as well as a dark gray matrix and impact melt clast.
This NWA 5000 is an anorthositic regolith breccia. It was discovered in southern Morocco (2007). The coarse grained (0.5 to 2.7 mm) feldspar is calcic plagioclase (An 96-98). This phase is the most common in this stone, but pigeonite (Fs 32-65) is also present. Pigeonite is a monoclinic pyroxene with Mg, Fe and Ca. Other minerals are occurring in smaller quantities, other silicates, oxides, sulfides, metal blebs, etc.
The rock melts are produced by intense shocks (at least 60 GPa or 600 kbar) occurred before the agglomeration of the breccia.
Roger.
