Leifite
NaNa6[Be2Al3Si15O39F2] Point group 3m. Ditrigonal pyramid class. Unclassified Silicate.
“La Poudrette” Quarry, Mont St Hilaire, Québec.
This very rare mineral is associated with the alkaline intrusive complex gabbro-syenite, in cavities in this alkali-pegmatite. On the pic, you can see a small radiating aggregate and a profile view of a rosette.

this is one of my favourite leifites in our collection. We are spoiled as we are pretty deep in MSH leifites

it is a perfect pale pink ball.. i love it. It is on display in our gallery in our MSH section.

A double terminated leifite is even rarer.
Paragenesis: serandite and aegirine.
