The September 14-15, 2013 Weekend Edition of the Wall Street Journal had a wonderful article in the "Off Duty" section entitled " Look Into Crystals" by Jen Renzi. The author discusses how decorators are using crystals and minerals to accessorize the home and office. The main theme is to mix nature's beautiful objects with contemporary furnishings. One designer likes how minerals inject light into a space, another calls minerals "nature's jewelry in the raw". I can't help wondering why it took decorators so long to figure this out!! My wife has been accessorizing our house for years! She is particularly proud of an agate cocktail table, a selection of polished slabs that are hanging on a wall, and mineral specimens displayed around the house.
