| I have been doing some field collecting in Arizona recently (prior to the hot weather getting here) and have found a small quartz location that has quite a few "enhydro" quartz crystals. I have not been able to find much information about other locations in Arizona with enhydro quartz and was wonder if anyone had such information. I would like to find out something about the geology of those other locations so I can compare it with my location.

Here is the enhydro quartz crystal, I have marked the bubble, it does move. About 1 inch in length

hi to everybody!
Fluid inclusions aren't seldom at all in quartzes and agates. Some agates from Brazil and Uruguay contain water and some quartz crystals from Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and China contain water and gas bubbles inside. Three years ago many amethysts from China containing water drops and gas bubbles EVEN MOVING INSIDE THE CRYSTAL were offered in Munich at a relatively cheap price (I know I can't say the proper amount! It' s just to tell all of you the material is easily affordable for everybody!).

Hi Ricardo. That is true but in some areas, like ours, it is a rarity and when you find one with a sizable bubble, it is a treasure. Crystals with nice sizable bubbles are very sought after and, depending from where, are not cheap.

| The best enhydro I've seen was a small (about 4x1cm) doubly terminated colorless quartz crystal, with a 3cm long negative cavity all through the length of the crystal, with a 5mm sized bubble that would move all the way through it. What made that specimen so unique wasn't only the large size of the bubble, but mostly that the bubble could actually travel through the all length of the crystal. I could play for hours with something like that.
