Hello Pierre, this is an example of the Cadmian variety. To my knowledge not as common as the Cobaltian variety (pink) or the Cuprian variety (green). You also get the Manganoan variety (brownish/pink).

I cannot remember personally ever seeing this type yet. I am by no means an authority, so I suppose that does not say much. Best regards.

Most unusual! It looks like epidote. If it is indeed epidote then it is the best such specimen I have ever seen from Brandberg area. WOW!

How sure are you that it actually comes from Goboboseb? I am not 100% sure that it is epidote, but I can not think of another species, as I often find a few similar small hairlike epidote inclusions in quartz from that area, but never so abundant.

These specimens were packed in a box marked "Brandberg 1995". So, Goboboseb is not a given, just a possibility.
