Thank you all for the nice comments!
BTW, the special exhibition of the minerals from the Rauris valley, Salzburg, Austria was excellent - see Frederic's photos.

Barcelona 11/02/2014
Back in Barcelona, some brief thoughts to close my statements in this thread.
This year, as said in https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=42179#42179 has been particularly poor in novelties, but the hobby do not seems to decay and despite the general economic situation in the Mineral Shows we seem to live in a kind of bubble, where we ignore everything negative and this "mineral bubble" seems to feed itself with the passion with which the mineral collectors we enjoy the minerals. Blessed bubble! despite some prices difficult to comprehend, despite the lack of novelties, "la nave va"!!
The Meteorite's exhibits, the topic of this year, were not particularly exciting for us, the mineral collectors. Therefore apart of the excellent exhibition about Rauris nicely photographed by Ploum, we look at a showcase with some pieces from the German collector Walter A. Weber displaying an excellent representation of rare minerals.
The mineralogy comprises not only spectacular samples, the rarities are also important! ;-)

Of course not, my message was my last "institutional" message, but not the last message of this thread. In fact I will publish some more miscellaneous photos...
So, please more FMFers! ;-)

China still offers beautiful mineralisations. Discoveries are correlated to the growth rate of a nation.
Here is a cassiterite which parts are gems (golden yellow).

Thanks Roger,
Glad I'm not the only one who is a fan of my great-great-granddad's polished brass!
(Even though Jordi prefers unpolished material ;-) )
Cheers, Gerhard

Did anyone get photos of the ". . . new blue Albites with Microcline and smoky Quartz from somewhere in China.." that Jordi mentioned. I did not see any in the thread. Thanks.
