Thanks Tobi for your reaction. My wife picked this one, she always has an eye for aesthetic minerals. Since we restarted to collect in 2015 I have converted to this “school” (with some hesitation). In the past (70’s) I just focused on good crystals. If there were also a couple of imperfections, so be it. If you don’t want to see them, don’t look at them. But as I said I made a turn.
But the next piece has indeed some broken crystals, but this time for both of us it wasn’t a reason to not buy it. Judge for yourself.

Quartz with Hematite
Jinlong Hill, Longchuan, Heyuan Prefecture, Guangdong Province, China | Very nice specimens, Rob, all of them! Some broken crystals are normal on most of the larger Jinlong specimens, completely undamaged specimens with not a single broken crystal are very rare. I think it's not a problem on a specimen like yours which is still very aesthetic though some quartzes might be broken.

Two isolated Magnetite crystals on matrix (crystal size : 8 mm), with clear, slightly stained Quartz(?). | It looks like quartz, yes. But maybe not stained, it could also be smoky quartz. Btw: Very nice specimen, I like the isolated crystals. Most specimens from that locality are completely covered with magnetite xx so they have not much contrast because you can't see the bright matrix. Your specimen is a very good example for isolated xx from the locality, I really like it.
P.S. Nice German pyromorphite!

Thank you Tobi for your comment. You are right about the magnetite: the dealer had several of them with a lot of crystals crawling on top of each other and the one we bought was for a give-away-price. Peculiar!
About the Quartz you also could be right.

Rob

Nice Romanian classic, Rob. Maybe you could try to make some close-up photos of the crystals because these realgar-included barytes from Baia Sprie often show a beautiful zoning ... :-)
