Hi folks,

some days ago the new ExtraLapis No. 56 was released, and finally they made one about RHODOCHROSITE. No idea why it took them nearly 30 years and nearly 60 issues to make one about one of the most desired minerals, but they finally made it. It was released on July 2nd, I directly ordered it and after it arrived yesterday, I read the whole magazine in a few hours. And I can highly recommend this one, no matter if you speak German or not. I own 21 of the now 56 issues of ExtraLapis, and in my opinion this one is the best ever. 126 pages, superb photos of the best rhodochrosites in the world (Colorado, Germany, South Africa, Peru, Japan etc.) and a lot of historical information about the localities.

Tobi, thanks for the link to the New ExtraLapis on Rhodochrosite. I took two years of German in college and can remember translating The Four Musicians of Bremen ;-)

Regards,

Don
