I am going to start photographing my wife's and my little mineral collection and thought I would share with everyone.
I currently only have Galaxy S7 as a camera, but photography is an old hobby of mine so I think I can get some decent images. Hopefully, the equipment and quality will improve going forward.

The man tending the table at the show we bought this from was planning on buying it for his own collection if it didn't sell. I apologized, but he should have been more decisive. :)

Hi Richard,
I'm glad that you finally decided to open your own collection thread, nice to see your specimens. And I think I can learn something about Canadian minerals because some of the localities of your Canadian specimens are unknown to me. I must confess that Canada is not a focus of my collection and I only know very popular stuff like Yates Mine apatite, Jeffrey Mine grossular, Thunder Bay amethyst, some minerals from Mt. Saint-Hilaire or the gypsums from Red River Floodway. A grossular from Jeffrey and an apatite from Yates were the only specimens from Canada I ever had, that's quite poor considering the fact that Canada is so large ...
I hope I will get to know a lot more of Canada's minerals, so please keep going with this thread :-)
Best regards from Germany
Tobi

Thank you Tobi. We do have a few specimens from Canada. We have Grossular and Vesuvianite from Jeffery Mine, but they are basically placeholders until we acquire better pieces at this point. These are some of our Canadian specimens. I will post a few more tomorrow.

A Canadian Fluorite from Ontario. This was the first specimen I purchased at a mineral show and was responsible for my fascination with the mineral. After I returned home I started to learn about the mineral. The fact that both the element Fluoride and the term fluorescence derive their names from the mineral and not the other way around was enough to hook me.

One more Canadian Fluorite. This one was the first piece my wife really showed an interest in and insisted on buying. How could I disagree :)

My favorite Fluorite to date. This specimen went through several phases of growth. Two large clear Quartz crystals were later covered by thousands of small opaque Quartz crystals. Finally, the Fluorite formed on top.
The colour of the Fluorite is so dark it almost appears black in low light.
Someday I will get better photos.

I also have a minor specimen from that locality ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=47926#47926 ) but this one here is larger and better than mine, really nice :-)
