Hello.

My good neighbor, who is over 80 years old and was a miner, has a small collection of minerals. A dozen of my pieces come from him.
For example, this pyrite crystal that he gave me because he didn't like it: it was "very damaged".
In fact, it is one of my most intact and interesting crystals. What looked like abrasions are actually an interrupted growth of dodecahedral modifications. Furthermore, all the corners show modifications of the octahedron and diploid, as often happens in the cubic pyrite of Gavorrano.
This is my biggest and most beautyful fifty faceted pyrite crystal. An excellent gift for a lover of Gavorrano mineralogy. Thanks, Franco.

Stay safe.
Sante

Hello.

A strange pyrite from Niccioleta mine and other Tuscan quartzes, many of them with different scepter shape.
I hope you appreciate oddity more than aesthetics.

Warm greetings.
Sante

Hello Sante,

These remind me of hyperoleon. The milky part is on the top in hyperoleon.

Stay safe.

Don

Hello, Don. How are you?

This is an interesting comparison. Your clinical eye saw what I couldn't without your suggestion. An idea for my sub-collection of "imaginative specimens". Thank you.

A specimen from Niccioleta mine and three quartzes so small that I'm almost ashamed to post them.

Best regards.
Sante
