Stay safe.

Yesterday I compared our dear political leaders with a Washingtonia filifera and today I'm publishing an image of a chameleon. I don't know if it could be somehow related… 🙄

Some flowers and plants from Costa Rica. I hope not to tire you with my Costa Rican things.
Today I'm sad, first colleagues infected, acquaintance who passed away two days ago because of the virus.

Grazie mille Sante.
I'll post more photos the next days.
Right now I'm dreaming of italian pasta and home made gelato.
Take care too and hope to be able to travel to Italy in a near future (I love your country).

My first picture posts in a very long time, so apologies in advance for any mistakes.
With all the flower photos, thought I would post a few I took yesterday. Nothing spectacular, but the natural beauty right around us.
Best wishes to all readers worldwide for safety and health.

In addition to being beautifully in bloom for many weeks each spring, North American Redbud is interesting in several ways.
It is cauliflorous, and all of its flowers burst from the bark of the tree, not the tips of branches. Because the flowers burst from the bark, it is common to see redbud still in full bloom when its leaves are near to maturing.
Cauliflory is very uncommon outside the tropics, and most evolutionary theories of cauliflory cannot explain temperate climate cauliflorous plants.
Redbud is also a non-nitrogen-fixing member of the legume family (Fabaceae). Gives a whole new meaning to Pretty as a Pea.

After all these so nice posts remind me the real reason why this Forum was created and that I think Roger Warin masterfully summarizes:

Salut Philippe,
Hope you and your family are safe.
Could you give me the exact location and the web site of the company ?
As you've seen I love steam trains, especially when it is possible to travel with.
Dany.

Thank you for the information and the link to the video. Just added to my to do list.
If you have the opportunity, you should go to the "Festival suisse de la vapeur", with 4 steam locomotives on duty.
Of course I know the Swiss vapor park, nice place to visit on a sunny day.
Have a nice evening.
