Where can I find some bio on Gilbert Gauthier?
I have looked and cannot find much. I know he was a renowned mineral dealer and supplier working in the Congo area.
I've always been fascinated with minerals from central Africa and have heard his name repeatedly.
Thanks for any tales anyone can share.

Hi Pu Tzu,

you can find some information about him on the Biographical & Label Archive of the Mineralogical Record website :

Maybe I can help you a little.
In its time, I wrote 2 articles for the AGAB-Minibul journal: (2006).
1) 2 pages on the death of Gilbert Gauthier.
2) 4 pages on gauthierite, with photos.
These articles are in French, but with the pdf, that shouldn't be a problem.
How to send the pdf's?
