I found this stone on the banks of the Cheremosh River (Ukraine, Carpathians) several years ago. The stone is heavier than ordinary sandstone. The stone is not scratched by glass, even a triangular file on metal does not scratch it, and upon impact emits a quartz smell.
Weighing about 3.5 kg (I do not have exact scales yet), it is partially illuminated by a flashlight, inside it is dark brown (almost black) with white veins. glass luster.

This exact same specimen has been posted for identification on the MinDat website.
To you and all responders on this site, please see the responses there. Bob

There are my photos. In parallel, I asked a question on different forums, because on reddit I was told that it was something with arsenic, and on the MinDat that it was flint. I would like to hear confirmation of any version.

Reddit is obviously not the right venue to ask for mineral identifications. ;))
This stone is obviously some type of chert or jasper. No reason to think there is any arsenic in it,
