Hello,
I was asked a question. The answer is not obvious since the photos are poor.
I retain 2 facts : the color and the equant aspect.
Origin: Pakistan.
I thought of uvarovite or even tsavorite.
The gangue may provide a clue.
Thanks.
Roger.

They might be Grossulars from the Vilyui River in Russia.

Could be demantoid (andradite). Mindat lists several localities in Pakistan.

Demantoid garnet,
Yes, the most probable variety remains the best answer.
Thank you a lot.

Hi to everybody!
There are many possibilities:
i) andradite (var. demantoid);
ii) grossular (var. tsavorite);
iii) the likeliest in my opinion: uvarovite!

I don't know whether uvarovite, a garnet with a very restricted geologic provenance, occurs in Pakistan, but there are no photos of it on Mindat.

Can you tell us what the two minerals are that make up the matrix? Are you sure it comes from PAK?

Hello Matt,
Alas, I have only ever seen these photos of the unknown mineral. The question was posed to me.
My photos are still better!
Thank you for your interest in this problem of a friend.
I underline a point: the rock (?°) is almost colorless (feldspar?).
Wouldn't it be an orthoclase with another secondary mineral?
From Pakistan, yes.

Hello,
The analysis showed that this mineral of green tourmaline group was indeed a dravite.
