More important I feel is preparing for your death, e.g., your Will. If you get hit by a bus tomorrow and die what happens to your collection? Have you made preparations to avoid someone just saying throw the rocks in a dumpster. We all have personal attachments to at least part of our collections, and possibly nobody interested in our collection besides what they can get for it on eBay. There may be local museums or schools you can leave the collection to and hope it'll be accepted and help inspire others.

On the sun fading issue, this is typically from the UV sunlight. Where I live, new house windows must be made from UV blocking glass and that may be a good option for the main front glass panel of your display case. Just get the glass replaced so the UV does less damage. I got extra glass shelving panels cut cheaply and double stacked each shelf in my case that was bending from larger heavy specimens without detracting from the looks.

Yes, Bergur, both trolls.

Already banned both and deleted both posts.
