Hello, in the category of "Stump the Chump" I am pulling a blank on identifying two minerals that are co-occurring with a Caledonite TN from Grand Reef. The first occurs as chalk-white botryoidal aggregates. The 2nd unknown is a lustrous grey-violet cryptocrystalline mineral that appears intergrown with the Caledonite. Please see attached. The specimen measures 28 x 18 x 10 mm.
(Photos were taken with Fuji XH-1 glassed with Fuji 80 mm macro, Laowa 50 mm macro and Zhongyi 20 mm super macro. A Cognysis Stackshot was utilized for focus stacking with postprocessing through Capture 1 and Helicon Focus)

You might want to ask Bill Besse in Tucson. He wrote his thesis on that mine.

I wonder if the violet-grey mineral might not be cerussite or anglesite. The luster is suggestive.

The geochemistry would certainly support that. I was also wondering about brochantite. Thanks for your thoughts!
