PostPosted: May 31, 2025 06:41    Post subject: Re: Old Sandbeds Mine, Caldbeck, Allerdale, Cumbria, England, UK

I was looking though some of my sandbed specimens and found a few interesting sticking colour forms on my Arsenopyrite specimens. amongst the normal straw and brassy crystals are distinct iridescent Often these are totally separate structure adjacent to the typical ones. Is this perhaps another similar mineral?
I have included a typical (Carrick) arsenopyrite from my certified reference to compare it against.

Am I incorrect in my Identification?

I was thinking perhaps the adjacent crysocolla could have been altering the arsenopyrite but even in this other sandbeds specimen the odd Arsenopyrite peeping through are typical brassy in nature
