Hello Everyone -
Just taking a moment to say hello - many of you will know me from my postings on Mindat. I thought I'd expand my horizons and join another mineral message board.
I look forward to meeting you here and sharing pictures and experiences.

Hello Gerhard -
Thank you for the warm welcome -
I do plan on sharing some photos - it will be my winter project!
Which, I hate to say, is soon upon us... I needed mittens today on my walk to work!

Hi Al - I do recognize you from Mindat - I've been following your Pyrite story with great interest.
Perhaps we shall meet in real life some day - we will be at the Peterborough show in March. Will you attend?
And Hello Chris - thanks for your hello, too. I am learning rapdily about mineral collecting in general and Canadian minerals in particular having been in the hobby just a year and a half. Tagging along with my partner Reiner has been something of an intensive crash course in all things mineral!
Take care

Maggie
The pyrite crystal crystal mining is coming along quite well. This coming Saturday I will be showing some pyrites and violet calcite crystals to the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa. I am substituting the pyrite specimen that I loaned to the ROM with another specimen in matrix.
So, things are going well.
