I was surfing around and ran across this site. Looks like something that some mineral collectors might be interested in.
Search the course title in google or bing--I cannot figure out how to post a url on this forum as it gets rejected. It should come up first.
Title
Symmetry, Structure, and Tensor Properties of Materials
Bernhard J Wuensch
Professor of Ceramics, Department of Materials Science and Engineering
MIT
Course Description
This course covers the derivation of symmetry theory; lattices, point groups, space groups, and their properties; use of symmetry in tensor representation of crystal properties, including anisotropy and representation surfaces; and applications to piezoelectricity and elasticity.
