Are you sure? It looks a lot like Pyromorphite...

I hope it is identified correctly. I trust Steetley minerals to have correctly identified and listed it. I was very excited to find it and discussed it with the proprietor, he was very knowledgeable
However. there is the remote possibility for them to misidentify but I hope not as I paid a premium for this specimen.
I have seen pyromorphites collected from this mine and they had the brighter yellower look rather like the material from the Mexico mine. This specimen has a dull sage colouration to it.
I will ask the proprietor to check the ID again as I will be attending the North of England mineral exposition and he has a stand at this event.
I do hope its correct as i really like this piece and material from Brandy gill is so hard to acquire.

This last photo looks like a typical Bayldonite from Brandy Gill Mine and is quite different from the first photo of your specimen which shows elongate prismatic crystals. Check all of the Brandy Gill Bayldonite photos on Mindat. I don't see anything resembling your piece. I would be suspicious of the ID.

I am starting to have concerns myself now. I suppose I wouldn't be the first or last collector to purchase a misidentified specimen.
I do believe I was sold it in good faith. Steetley minerals is my go to dealer for Caldbeck Fell material and I have had dozens of specimens from them with perfect provenance. I have complete confidence in their integrity.
These things happen, I would never have the patience to hold a dealer table contending with the rugby scrum of collectors examining two or more pieces in the hand and trusting them to re box them correctly.
Thank you both for alerting me to the problem
regards Forrest
