Friday is the day when the Show reaches its peak.

Two new photo sets featuring mineral specimens from the Sainte-Marie Show, which is still in full swing. Today, Saturday, and tomorrow, Sunday, are the days open to the general public, so the show is gradually winding down — but everything suggests that those attending or who have already visited had a fantastic time. And that’s no surprise, given that this is the most special mineral show I know, where, aside from warm air, you breathe an unmistakable mineralogical atmosphere.

These photos are courtesy of Paulí Figueras, with edits by Antonio P. López, to whom I’m grateful for providing and processing these images. You’ll see some very striking specimens from various dealers, as well as pieces from the Prestige Exhibition. It’s only natural for the eye to be drawn to these kinds of specimens when photographing.

But take note — at a show like this, beyond these beautiful and eye-catching pieces, there are many others just as (or even more) interesting. That’s why you have to go, you have to be there, and you have to collect — to keep learning about this fascinating world that never ceases to surprise.

Stephanie is passionate about minerals and has exquisite taste in them, and as proof, here’s a perfect example — or rather, a magnificent specimen of Rutile, Quartz, and Hematite that we had the pleasure of seeing in person at Munich 2024

And a bonus post. Third entry with images taken by Stephanie Joplin at the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2025 Show, where minerals are the main stars — without forgetting the social side of the event and the many interactions that take place there. People from the four sides of the world come together in this small village in the middle of the Vosges Mountains, in the Alsace region of France.

Few things in this world are capable of bringing together so many people, so diverse, of such different ages and tastes when it comes to collecting... minerals! Always minerals!
