Bluebird Mine, Miami, Miami-Inspiration District (Globe-Miami District), Gila County, Arizona, USA

Dimensions:

3.4 × 2.6 × 2.6 cm

Description:

Group of flattened Azurite crystals — sharp, translucent, lustrous, and with a very vivid color.
This is a very high-quality specimen from this locality, a mine where so good pieces are not so common.

Locality:

California State Gem Mine (Benitoite Gem Mine), San Benito River headwaters area, Santa Rita Peak, New Idria District, San Benito County, California, USA

Dimensions:

main crystal: 2 × 0.6 cm

Description:

Joaquinite-(Ce) crystal of good size for the species, with a dipyramidal shape, well-defined faces and edges, translucent, and with an intense orange color, on a Neptunite crystal accompanied by a small single Benitoite crystal and Natrolite rosettes.
