PostPosted: May 15, 2011 15:40    Post subject: A mineralogical trip through the states of USA

In the Spanish Forum we introduced an initiative that has been successful. I opened there a thread from each different state of Spain asking minsurfers to contribute photographs of the minerals of each state. Given the success of that effort, I imported the idea to this side of the Forum with mineralogical visits to each state of the USA through photos of minerals from these states.

This is something informal, just a vision of what each state offers without serious scientific pretensions. Just for fun! (but please, don't publish massive specimens ;-)

Each state is organized alphabetically with all states visible on one individual page. So to see the posts of this Forum you will need to click on the section called "A mineralogical trip through the states of USA" (or on this link )

BTW, we already added all photos of "A mineralogical trip through the states of USA" to a new album in FMF Gallery
If someone want to see all images already published in "A mineralogical trip through the states of USA" now is so easy as visit in FMF Gallery the album with the same name.

I hope this idea will please all members and visitors, please FMFers, help me in my task to add more images to the US states and in that way we will have a nicer vision of US mineralogy!
