I forgot some geography:

Not sure if it matters but temp ranges from about 20 F to 120F. It is desert about 10 mi from the base of the Bradshaw mountains that jump from desert to forest rapidly.

It's about 1/4 inch. (Its the smallest one yet most defined). It scratches the knife. However some parts are more fragile than other parts. It does not react to warm vinegar. They are loose on ground. ...

I found about 20 of these in one very specific spot off castle hot springs road. I've putzed around in the desert for years only found these in this spot. Any body have any experience with these? Plea ...
