Sadly my grandmother had radium therapy for a weak chest in the 1900s. She died of cancer of the chest about 80 years later. Link not proven but possible.

You can buy Rust Away in the UK (just search the internet). Do test it on a part of the specimen that does not matter as it may possibly 'eat' the crystals you want to keep.
