As crazy as this may sound, I only put in a 1/4 of the photos I took. Digital cameras make it so easy to take lots of shots and delete the ones that are awful, or store ones you want to keep.
I took over 8,000 photos while in Tucson...yeah, sounds like a lot but there is so much to see and I like to keep track of my visits with a photo diary.
I am honoured that the Mineralogical Record has asked for my photos of shows to have a good group of people photos on hand. I filled their 8 gb memory stick and still had to download from my external hard drive right onto their computer.
It is an honour, also, to know so many people put up with my camera fetish and allow me to snap them.
It has been a great pleasure. I might sneak a photo in here and there but basically, I am done!
Thanks Jordi!!!!!

Gail,
I know it takes a lot of work on your part to get these pictures posted on this thread. Even though I was there it is always fun to see your coverage. Thank you for your tireless efforts which are especially meaningful to those who couldn't attend. Your coverage is certainly the next best thing! Well done!

Brooks, thank you. I am so sorry we never met up or ran into each other this year..how on Earth did that happen? You are always such a joy to chat with and I adore your family. Glad you like the report, it is sort of a diary for me, but many people will remember the photo of Bill Larson and the Iguana "hat" as the 2010 show posterchild! ha ha

Thanks from me too Gail. Maybe I can make it back there myself again soon. It was good to see that Mal Southwood got there. Regards, Steve

Well, this year was Afton's first to Arizona so we did a lot of sightseeing up north (Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Sedona). I was at several shows but my time was certainly split. On a positive note, weather did co-operate for the most part and Afton had a blast!
