I had a nice time getting a private tour with Jordi and Joaquim, Eloise and Gene Meiren leading the way...he was a gracious host at the Museum to see the Afghan and Pakistan display.

Jim and I decided to host a party we labeled "Meet the Curators" which was at Casa Vicente restaurant. It is a Spanish themed menu and we had 53 RSVPs from SMMP members and we had also invited a cross section of dealers, collectors and miners.
Jim was not with me though, he was in Dallas on business so I braved hostessing alone. ( If you know me you know I love to hostess! )
We had a great turn out. I got very few photos as I was busy greeting and chatting with everyone. The food and wine were wonderful, the camaraderie was even better!
Jim and I will be hosting this by invitation only event next year too.
It is important to us that people get to know those in charge of minerals around the world and to see how we can better help them with donations, bequeaths and loaners. We can make great things happen simply by getting to know each other.
