Someone care to help me out with Sphalerite twinning? I'm mainly looking at the large xtal in the upper-left part of this specimen... sort of reminds me of cyclic-twinned Cerussite.

Hard to say, the crystals are not so sharp but them don't looks to me as twinned, including the upper left one... _________________ Audaces fortuna iuvat |

I agree with Jordi...pretty crude crystals, but I see nothing to indicate twinning. _________________ Siempre Adelante! |

Yeah, it seems like most of the Sphalerites coming from the Animas Mine have this unique, opaque coating on them. There's a spot where one xtal broke and you can see the shiny material.
Sounds like the general thought is no twins.
First post on here and not the last - I appreciate the quick response and help. _________________ - Peter
